British Peptides

Choosing a copper peptide serum in the UK

Look for Copper Tripeptide-1 named on the ingredients list rather than only on the front of the bottle, a formula without unnecessary fragrance, and a brand that tells you where it was made. In the UK a copper peptide serum typically costs between £25 and £45 for 30ml.

What should be on the label?

Copper Tripeptide-1, by its proper name, in the ingredients list. A front of pack claim about peptides means very little if the ingredient does not appear where it legally has to.

Where it sits in that list matters too. Ingredients are listed in order of quantity, so an active near the very end is present in a small amount.

Does the percentage matter?

Less than the marketing suggests. A high percentage in a poorly formulated base is not better than a lower one in a stable, well tolerated formula.

Percentage is easy to put on a label and hard to interpret, which is exactly why it gets used as a selling point.

What about price?

In the UK, expect roughly £25 to £45 for a 30ml copper peptide serum. Ours is £35, and the multi peptide version with SNAP-8 is £40.

Much cheaper than that and it is worth checking the ingredients list carefully. Much more expensive and you are usually paying for the packaging.

Where was it made?

A brand should be able to tell you. Ours are formulated and made in Britain, and every batch is quality checked before release.

Also worth checking: paraben and sulphate free, cruelty free, and whether the company answers an email when you send one.

What should you buy first?

One serum, used every evening for eight weeks. Not a full shelf.

If it suits you, add the moisturiser. If it does not, you have spent £35 finding out rather than £150.

Common questions

How much does a copper peptide serum cost in the UK?

Typically £25 to £45 for 30ml. Ours is £35, and the multi peptide version with SNAP-8 is £40, both with free UK delivery over £75.

Is a more expensive copper peptide serum better?

Not reliably. Above roughly £45 for 30ml you are usually paying for packaging and brand rather than a meaningfully different formula.

What is the difference between your two serums?

The Copper Peptide Serum contains Copper Tripeptide-1 on its own. The Multi Peptide version adds SNAP-8, a second cosmetic peptide, for people who want more than one peptide in a single step.
