Copper peptide shampoo: what it does and how to use it

A copper peptide shampoo is an ordinary shampoo formulated with Copper Tripeptide-1, used to support the look of thicker, fuller hair and a healthy feeling scalp. It replaces your current shampoo rather than being added to a routine, and needs eight to twelve weeks of consistent use.

What it is for

The scalp is skin, and copper peptides are used on it for the same reason they are used on the face: to support the appearance of a healthy surface.

In haircare specifically, the aim is the look of fullness and body, and hair that feels stronger to handle. It is a cosmetic product, not a medicine.

How to use it

Use it in place of your current shampoo, not in addition. Work it into the scalp rather than just the lengths, because the scalp is where it is meant to sit.

Follow with the matching conditioner on the mid lengths and ends. Most people wash two or three times a week, which is plenty.

How long to give it

Longer than skincare. Hair grows roughly a centimetre a month, so eight to twelve weeks is a fair test rather than the four to eight you would allow a face serum.

If you want a more focused option alongside it, a scalp serum is applied directly to the scalp and left in, rather than washed out.

Paraben and sulphate free

Ours are formulated without parabens or sulphates, in 500ml bottles, and made in Britain. Every batch is quality checked before release.

Common questions

Is copper peptide shampoo worth it?

It is worth it if you will use it consistently for eight to twelve weeks. It is not worth it as a one bottle experiment, because hair simply does not grow fast enough to show anything in that time.

Can I use copper peptide shampoo every day?

You can, though most people wash two or three times a week. Frequency matters less than using it consistently over a couple of months.

Do I need the conditioner as well?

Not strictly, but the two are designed together and there is a duo price that makes buying both cheaper than buying the shampoo alone twice.
